Pocket Meg Standard is a checking device designed for measuring surface resistance and resistance to ground at antistatic workplaces in dedicated area according to the EN 61 340-5-1 standard.

The instrument is intended for fast orientation measurement of desktop, floor and other materials. The instrument indicates value of measured resistance by means of LEDs representing order of magnitude in ohms.

The diodes are colour distinguished so that green LEDs represent resistance values of ESD conductive and dissipative materials, red LED represents higher resistance value, and yellow LEDs represent lower values. Red LED indicates instrument operability and sufficient battery voltage immediately after the measuring button pressing.

Pocket Meg Standard is embedded in a plastic box. Measuring electrodes are situated from below the instrument, socket for connecting to ground is on the front panel of the instrument. Measuring pushbutton and indicators for test and battery condition evaluation are located on the upper panel. The instrument is delivered with measuring cable and crocodile clip for connecting to ground.
